The Sohar Industrial Port Cup in Football ended with a very exciting Football match on Sunday the 21st. The Tournament started with 20 teams from the Port of Sohar area and the teams that made it all the way to the finale were Sohar Steel and Larsen & Toubro.

It was a close call to the very end between these two very professional teams and the big crowd in the audience got to see Larsen & Toubro celebrated as the winners when the referee blew his whistle.

The tournament was an arrangement by the HSE Manager of Sohar Industrial Port Company (SIPC), Mr Suwaid Al Shemaisi, in order to promote the importance of sports and healthy activities.

The CEO of SIPC, Mr Jan Meijer, expressed his gratitude and happiness for such an initiative in his speech before he handed over the prizes to the happy contestants.
